The short version
Open the customer, find the Customer portal card and choose Turn on the portal. Copy the address and send it to your customer. Timelydo never sends it for you, and there is no customer sign in.
What the portal is
The portal is one private page for one customer. It lists every invoice and estimate you sent them, newest first. It is useful for a customer who wants to look back, or find an old invoice without searching their email.
Turn it on and share it
Open the customer. On the Customer portal card, choose Turn on the portal. The card then shows the address. You can:
- Copy the address and send it yourself.
- Open it in a new tab to see what your customer sees.
- Email the link, when the customer has an email. This opens your own email app with the link already written in. Timelydo sends nothing.
New address and turning it off
New address makes a fresh address and the old one stops working at once. Use it when the address reached the wrong person.
Turn off switches the portal off. The address stops working. You can turn it on again later, which makes a new address.
While a customer is archived the portal is off. It works again at the same address after you restore the customer.
What the customer sees
The portal shows your name and a list of invoices and estimates, up to 200 of each. For each invoice it shows the number, the issue and due dates, the amount still due while it is open (otherwise the total) and its status. Drafts never appear. The page is in the customer's invoice language.
Each row opens that invoice or estimate on its own page. That is where the customer pays, accepts or declines, or reports a problem. You cannot pay from the list itself.
Privacy and sign in
There is no customer sign in. Anyone who has the address can read the list, so share it only with your customer. The page lists only what each linked invoice page already shows, and search engines are told not to index it.
