The short version
A single use link lets one person book your event once. Make it from the Single use links tab, send it, and watch whether it was opened and used.
Making a link
Select New link. You can enter the person's name and email, so they only have to choose a time, and choose when the link runs out: after 1, 7, 30 or 90 days, or never. Copy the link and send it to them yourself.
The name and email are kept on our side and filled in for the person. The link itself only carries a random code, so nothing personal is in the address.
Following what happened
The four cards count your links by where the person is: Not opened (waiting for them), Opened (looked, not booked yet), Booked and Ended (ran out or switched off). Select a card to show only those links. Each row shows the person, how often the link was opened and when it was made, runs out or was used.
Select a link to open its details. You can copy it again, switch it off when it should no longer work, and when the person booked, jump to their booking. Your own opens of the link and visits by search robots are not counted.
Search and export
Search by name or email in the box above the list, and clear it with the cross. Export CSV saves what is on the screen, so the card you selected and your search apply. The file has the person, email, status, how often it was opened and the dates. It does not contain the links themselves.
What the person sees
They open the usual booking page with their name and email filled in. When the link has been used, ran out or was switched off, the page says that it can no longer be used instead of showing times that would be refused.
Only people with a link can book
Open the event, go to the Access section and turn on Only people with a link can book. The booking page then shows no times to anyone who arrives without a single use link. They see a short message asking them to get a personal link from you. A person with a working link sees the calendar as usual.
This is different from a hidden event. A hidden event is left out of your profile but anyone who knows its address can still book. With this switch on, the address alone is not enough. A booking made without a working link is refused, whether it comes from the booking page or from the API. You can still book a client in yourself from the Bookings tab. Moving or cancelling a booking that already exists works as before.
Paid events
A link works on events that ask for payment too. The link is taken as soon as the person starts to pay, so nobody else can use it while they are paying. In the list the link shows as Paying.
If the payment does not go through, or the time held for it runs out, the link is given back and can be used again. If the payment succeeds, the link is attached to the booking and is used up. If the payment arrives late and the time is still free, the booking is made and the link goes with it. If the time was taken in the meantime, the person is refunded and the link is given back.
