The short version
Open Time in the Invoicing menu. Log time with a customer, a date, the hours and what you did. Then select Invoice all, or tick some entries and select Invoice chosen.
Log time
Open Time in the Invoicing part of the menu. The Log time card has these fields:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Customer | Required. Choose one of your customers. The list holds your first 50 active customers. |
| Date | Required. The day you did the work. |
| Hours | Required. Type 1.5, 1:30 or 1h30. An entry can be from 1 minute up to 24 hours. |
| What you did | Optional. Up to 500 characters. It becomes the name of the invoice line. |
Select Add. The entry appears in the list under its customer. If you have no customers yet, the page links to Add a customer.
Use the timer
Under the fields there is a Start timer button. It counts while you work, and it keeps counting if you reload the page or go to another page in the same browser. Select Stop and the time is put in the Hours field. Then add the entry as usual.
Log from your calendar and tasks
The card From your calendar and tasks lists bookings, calendar events and completed tasks of the last 30 days that are waiting to be logged. Type the hours, choose a customer and select Log. Each item can be logged once.
Edit or delete an entry
While an entry is unbilled you can select Edit to change it or Delete to remove it. Delete asks you to confirm. Once an entry is on an invoice it is locked. It shows On followed by the invoice number, or On a draft, and links to that invoice.
Make an invoice from your hours
The page has three tabs: Unbilled (the default), Billed and All. Each customer has a card with the unbilled total.
The draft has one hourly line per entry, oldest first. The line is named after what you did (Work when you left it empty), with the date under it. The hours are the quantity, and the days of the entries are the service period. You can only invoice one customer at a time, and up to 100 entries.
Never billed twice
An entry that is on an invoice is billed. If you take the line off the draft, delete the draft or void the invoice, the entry is free again and shows under Unbilled. An entry is never on two invoices at once.
